National Heritage Centre




National Heritage Center (NHC) has been established at Mazhuvanchery, Near Kechery, Trissur - Guruvayoor Road, Trissur in a sprawling land area of 10 acres. The NHC campus has a series of institutions managed by IISH, which are functioning from 2003 onwards. It has a Aryabhatta Heritage Library which is opened to one and all at any time for referring the heritage books. The library has a second section of the collection of modern scientific books. This library books are utilized by student and academic community all the seven days.

New books are added to this library available through purchase or as donation. Computer documentation of all the books has been completed and available for the reader.

NHC has a Heritage museum where ancient materials are displayed which has become a good attraction for the academic community and students. A printed display of the history of India as main points are given in the museum.

Under NHC there is a guest House and Canteen for the visitors and an auditorium which can accommodate more than 600 people. NHC also has a seminar hall with projectors, OHP facilities, audio and video facilities including movie projectors with the computer based presentation, recording facilities. A series of exposure courses , summer vacation classes, camps, inhouse and out house training programs and lecture are conducted in this center. Social and value based publications are brought out from NHC.

Bhaskara Computer center and BSS computer college Approved by Govt of India has been functioning here. The college imparts study classes at all level. IISH Vocational Training College is functioning under the NHC and variety of long term and short term courses are conducted here.
